Thanks for your interest in MCA!  Here are a few of the basics:

The Magic Collectors' Association was formed in 1949 by several prominent collectors, including the author of HOUDINI ON MAGIC, Morris N. Young, and Milbourne Christopher, author of numerous magic books, including THE ILLUSTRATED HISTORY OF MAGIC.  Currently it has a world-wide membership of 500+ individuals, both men and women, interested in the history of magic and magicians and magic as a performing art.  Members are collectors of books, posters, tokens, apparatus, printed ephemera (programs, tickets, broadsides, etc.) which enlighten us about past and present performers.

Information and anecdotes about careers, inventions, stage routines, techniques, publicity and lives spent in "the world of magic" fill the pages of MAGICOL: A JOURNAL OF THE MAGIC COLLECTORS' ASSOCIATION.  MAGICOL is published in February, May, August and November.  Articles, news and information on various aspects of collecting are also included and members are encouraged to contribute.

Membership dues are for the calendar year and are currently $25 a year.  Payment must be made in U.S. dollars by bank check or international money order.  Request more information from to Magic Collectors' Association, P.O. Box 511, Glenwood, IL 60425-0522, USA. Or email to magic.collectors@sbcglobal.net

We look forward to the possibility of you joining us!
